TABLE TENNIS – SAAR Club won the juniors’ division title in the 2025-26 Khalid Bin Hamad Golden Generation Table Tennis League.
Saar claimed their crown after beating Maqaba Club 3-1 in a closely contested final, capturing the title for the second consecutive year.
The competition was held under the patronage of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The final was attended by GSA CEO Dr Abdulrahman Askar, BOC board member and Bahrain Table Tennis Association (BTTA) president Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, GSA facilities and projects deputy CEO Dana Mohammed Mudhafar, GSA human resources and finance director Lubna Alwazzan, and GSA board members and officials.
They later presented the top three teams their respective trophies and medals.
In the individual matches of the final, Saar’s Nasser Al Alawi defeated Hashim Al Banna 3-0 before Ahmed Al Banna levelled the score for Maqaba with a victory over Hassan Ibrahim. Saar then sealed the title with wins by Moamen Jafar and Nasser Al Alawi over Yusuf Al Banna and Ahmed Al Banna with scores of 3-0 and 3-2, respectively.
Joining Saar and Maqaba on the juniors’ podium were bronze-medallists Bahrain Club.
