Bahrain’s third Voluntary National Review (VNR) for 2026 has revealed that the kingdom has achieved a qualitative leap in its sustainable development march, driven by extensive investments in education, human capital development, youth empowerment and innovation.
These efforts have further reinforced Bahrain’s position as a regional model in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the objectives of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
The report, a copy of which was obtained by our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej, highlighted a series of significant achievements.
Foremost among them is the success of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) in supporting the employment of more than 32,000 Bahrainis between 2023 and 2025.
It also provided 14,000 training and qualification opportunities for jobseekers and launched a new strategy for the 2026-2030 period aimed at preparing national competencies for future jobs.
