The Bharathi Association organised a farewell felicitation programme at its premises in Umm Al Hassam to honour Indian Ambassador Vinod K Jacob and Indian School Bahrain principal V R Palaniswamy, in recognition of their services and contributions in the community.
The event began with a Tamil invocation song, followed by a welcome address by the association’s general secretary, Abdul Qaiyum.
Delivering the presidential address, Vallam Basheer praised their efforts in strengthening community ties and supporting the Indian diaspora in Bahrain.
As a token of appreciation, mementos were presented to both dignitaries, alone with heartfelt wishes for their future endeavours.
Members also fondly recalled Mr Jacob inaugurating the Bharathi Association premises last year and attending its anniversary celebrations.
The evening concluded with a lively musical programme by local singers, adding cultural vibrancy to the occasion. The event saw enthusiastic participation from hundreds of association members, well-wishers and community representatives, making it a memorable farewell gathering.
