Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro chaired a joint meeting of the Commercial Co-operation Committee and the Industrial Co-operation Committee via videoconference.
The virtual meeting, held as part of Bahrain’s presidency of the 46th session of the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC), saw the participation of GCC Ministers of Commerce and Industry alongside GCC Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi.
Mr Fakhro highlighted that the meeting was convened in implementation of the Supreme Council’s decisions issued at the Jeddah Summit.
He stressed the importance of enhancing Gulf co-ordination to advance economic integration, support growth, strengthen the commercial and industrial sectors, and improve the resilience of strategic sectors amid evolving regional and global challenges.
The ministers also reviewed key agenda items aimed at strengthening commercial and industrial co-operation among GCC member states, advancing Gulf economic integration, and enhancing co-ordination in the logistics sector and other strategic areas.
