The Maan (Together) Programme Against Violence and Addiction won two categories at the Arab Intelligence and Creativity Award, recognising its work in prevention, innovation, research and development.
The programme won the educational and academic sectors category for its Maan curriculum, a preventive education programme designed to promote positive values, strengthen decision-making skills and raise awareness of the risks of violence, addiction and dangerous behaviour among young people.
It also won the applied personal innovation category for the EAST Strategic Planning System, developed by the Maan Research and Training Centre to support institutional planning through a practical framework for transforming ideas and initiatives into measurable implementation plans.
Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) at the Interior Ministry and chairman of the Maan (Together) Programme Against Violence and Addiction Committee, received the two awards at the Maan Research and Training Centre.
Shaikh Hisham said the achievement reflects the continued support provided by Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa for prevention and awareness programmes and the ministry’s commitment to promoting innovation, scientific research and community security initiatives.
He commended the programme’s research team for its professional work and said the achievement reflects the competence of the national workforce and the programme’s ability to transform practical expertise into research and knowledge initiatives that support institutional excellence.
