His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday met outgoing UK Ambassador Alastair Long at Gudaibiya Palace.
HRH Prince Salman affirmed the depth of the longstanding relationship between Bahrain and the UK, stressing the advancement of bilateral co-operation across various sectors through strategic partnerships and joint agreements, including the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA).
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the shared commitment of both nations to deepening co-operation and co-ordination in support of shared aspirations and mutual interests. He expressed appreciation for Ambassador Long’s efforts throughout his tenure in strengthening Bahrain-UK relations and wished him continued success in his future endeavours.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister went on to recognise the significant role of the UK, alongside its allies, in supporting efforts to combat the hostile Iranian aggression, safeguard security and stability and support regional and international development.
The meeting also reviewed the latest regional and international developments, as well as other issues of common interest.
Prime Minister’s Court Minister Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Cabinet Affairs Minister Hamad Al Malki and several senior officials also attended the meeting.
