His Majesty has emphasised that the spirit of resilience is a national culture and an enduring approach that has been consolidated by Bahrain’s comprehensive development process.
He said the national resilience demonstrated during the crisis caused by the hostile Iranian aggression was not merely a response to a transient challenge, but a reflection of the kingdom’s ability to address challenges efficiently and capably.
His Majesty made his remarks during an audience with Transportation and Telecommunications Minister, Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat) board of trustees chairman and National Resilience Documentation Committee chairman Dr Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
During the meeting, Dr Shaikh Abdulla briefed His Majesty on the progress of the committee’s work in documenting the Iranian attacks against the kingdom and Bahrain’s response, reflecting the unity and steadfastness demonstrated during the crisis.
His Majesty also commended the research role of Derasat, in co-operation with national institutions, in documenting these events in the kingdom’s national memory.
Documenting the national resilience is a national responsibility that preserves a unified narrative of this defining chapter in Bahrain’s history, ensuring that the lessons learnt from this experience and the values of loyalty and unity it embodied are passed on to future generations, the King said.
His Majesty added that the initiative aims to preserve the kingdom’s collective national memory, ensuring that Bahrain remains strong and proud as its people, united as one family, continue to advance the comprehensive development process.
Documenting these national stance is a recognition of all those who stood in service of the kingdom, he said, adding that the collective memory is the safeguard that preserves its national identity.
Dr Shaikh Abdulla expressed sincere appreciation to His Majesty for the royal trust placed in him to chair the committee.
He affirmed the committee’s commitment to producing a historical and legal reference documenting the kingdom’s resilience and the strength of its institutions.
Dr Shaikh Abdulla also commended the loyalty and solidarity demonstrated by Bahraini citizens in standing united under the leadership of His Majesty.
