MOTORSPORT – THE Bahrain Drag Racing Commission announced yesterday eight competition categories for cars in the upcoming 2026-27 season of the Bahrain Drag Racing Championship.
The new campaign is scheduled to get underway in November. It will feature five exciting rounds at Bahrain International Circuit’s quarter-mile strip, which is a part of the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Worldwide Network.
This season, the series’ cars classes include the Outlaw Four-Cylinder, Outlaw Six-Cylinder, Pro 29.5, Index 10.0, Index 9.0, Index 8.5, Index 4.8, and the all-new Pro Limit.
The commission also announced that the official 2026-27 sporting regulations for the championship are now available on the Bahrain Motor Federation website bmf.com.bh.
The Bahrain Drag Racing Championship is the region’s premier drag racing series. Action kicks off with round one from November 24 to 27, followed by the second round from December 1 to 4. Racing resumes in the new calendar year with round three from January 5 to 8, followed by the fourth round from February 9 to 12 and then the championship finale from March 23 to 26.
Champions take home coveted Wally trophies, awarded only to top-class NHRA-sanctioned events.
