A three-storey house in Gafsa village in northern Egypt collapsed onto a mosque shortly after Friday prayers, sending worshippers and local residents into a panic.

The building was reportedly constructed just three months ago and was unoccupied at the time of the incident, preventing any casualties or injuries.
Footage of the collapse and the panicked reaction of bystanders quickly surfaced online. Residents are now urging authorities to send an inspection committee to examine nearby structures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
No official cause for the collapse has been released.
