THE Bahrain Space Agency (BSA) participated in the COSPAR (Committee on Space Research) 2026 Scientific Assembly in Florence, Italy, for the first time.
The biennial event, which ends today, saw the participation of more than 3,000 researchers and experts from 60 countries.
Space engineer Yaqoub Al Qassab represented the agency and presented two research papers developed in collaboration with the University of Strathclyde in the United Kingdom. The research focused on lunar exploration, digital simulation, rover navigation, drilling and resource extraction.
COSPAR, established in 1958, is a leading international organisation for space research, with its scientific assembly held every two years.
