Kuwait’s Youth and Sports Minister Dr Tariq Hamad Al Jalahma, accompanied by Youth Affairs Minister Rawan Tawfiqi, visited the Gadeha Juniors training camp at Exhibition World Bahrain.
The visit was attended by General Sports Authority (GSA) chief executive officer Dr Abdulrahman Askar.
The camp is held in partnership with the Royal Guard of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), under the directives of National Security Adviser and Royal Guard Commander Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the supervision of Royal Guard Special Force Commander Brigadier Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The ministers reviewed the camp’s training programmes and activities, which focus on discipline, teamwork and life skills while developing participants’ self-confidence, independence and sense of responsibility.
Dr Al Jalahma commended the camp’s programmes and practical training, highlighting the importance of investing in young people and developing their capabilities from an early age through training, challenges and practical experience.
Gadeha Juniors runs until September 3 and targets participants aged 10 to 17 through activities and challenges designed to develop personal skills, teamwork, responsibility, discipline, initiative and self confidence.
