Data released by the Global Investment Summit 2026, scheduled to be held in Paris on September 1 and 2, forecasts a significant increase in total investments in the Gulf’s water, circular economy, logistics and smart transport sectors, rising from $13.15 billion in 2023 to $20.27bn by 2030. This represents an increase of $7.12bn, or growth of more than 54 per cent.
The data also indicates that the Gulf countries are witnessing an expansion in projects aimed at improving resource efficiency and converting resources into economic value, alongside growing demand for sustainable water solutions driven by population growth, urban expansion and increased economic activity.
The Global Investment Summit 2026 aims to direct 25pc of investments towards modern technologies. Summit data also point to expected European investment flows into the Gulf worth $28.59bn, alongside efforts to develop 15 joint projects and establish eight strategic partnerships during the first year.
The summit, organised by Saudi investment group B&S Investments, will launch a five-year series designed to connect Gulf investment opportunities with international capital.
