Maybourne has appointed José Silva as Chairman as the luxury hospitality operator prepares for its next phase of global growth.
Silva brings more than four decades of experience across Europe, North America and the Middle East.
He joins Maybourne after serving as
Chief Executive Officer of Jumeirah Group, where he helped transform the
company from a regional operator into a globally recognised luxury hospitality
brand.
Before Jumeirah, Silva spent nearly 25 years with Four
Seasons Hotels and Resorts in senior leadership roles.
He was General Manager of the Four Seasons Hotel George V in
Paris, where its restaurants collectively earned five Michelin stars, and later
became Regional Vice President for Europe, overseeing operations across France,
Switzerland, Spain and Portugal.
He was also named Virtuoso’s Hotelier of the Year.
Maybourne said Silva’s expertise in luxury hospitality,
strategic expansion and asset development will support its plans for new
hotels, residences, experiences and wellness destinations while maintaining its
longstanding focus on service and guest experience.
