His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, has praised the advanced capabilities and combat readiness of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
HRH Prince Salman stressed the competence and capabilities of its service members in defending the kingdom and safeguarding its sovereignty as he visited the BDF General Command yesterday.
He was received by its Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and several other senior officers.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister commended the dedication of BDF personnel in performing their duties, which, through the integration of efforts with the military, security and civilian sectors, has contributed to safeguarding the citizens’ security and stability.
He expressed his pride and appreciation for the BDF, the National Guard, the Interior Ministry and all military, security and civil authorities for their efforts and high-level of readiness in defending and supporting the country’s development endeavours.
During the visit, HRH Prince Salman was briefed on the strategic plans to develop the BDF’s weapons and units, enhance the capabilities of its personnel as well as equip them with the latest military systems.
HRH Prince Salman affirmed that the advanced levels achieved across all BDF units and divisions are the result of the dedicated and continuous efforts of Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa.
He wished BDF personnel continued success in performing their national duties.
