An 18-year-old man died on Sunday in Al Salam, east of Cairo, after a house fire broke out when his phone charger exploded.
Initial investigations revealed that the victim had left his phone on charge near his bed overnight. The device exploded while he was asleep, setting fire to the bedroom and causing fatal burns.
