HOCKEY – A Bahrain Hockey Association (BHA) team defeated Arabian Legends Hockey Club 2-1 in a seven-a-side international friendly match played at Al Gosaibi Sports Center in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia.
The contest saw the BHA squad claim their victory with a last-minute goal. Another thrilling affair took place between both sides, again won 2-1 by the visitors with the decisive goal in the closing moments. The Bahraini squad featured BHA secretary general Malik Abid Awan, captain and goalkeeper Ihtisham Malik, vice-captain Talha Malik, Hamza Malik, Abdul Wahab, Basharat Ali, M Zain-ul-Abideen, Muhammad Bilal, and Maaz Ahmed.
The aim of the friendly games was not only to play high-quality hockey, but also to strengthen the sporting relationship between the hockey communities of Bahrain and Saudi. The BHA expressed their appreciation for the warm hospitality extended by the hosts and they look forward to continued collaboration and future sporting exchanges.
