The Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Ministry has announced the allocation of four in-person customer service centres and a virtual customer service centre to provide services to citizens, residents and investors.
The centres are located in Muharraq, A’ali, Hamad Town and Riffa. Customers can also access the virtual customer service centre by calling 17989898.
Municipalities Affairs Under-Secretary Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa said the reorganisation aims to improve access to municipal services, enhance customer experience and increase operational efficiency.
Starting September 1, Capital Municipality customers will be able to complete their transactions at any of the four centres. The existing customer service centre at the Capital Municipality will stop receiving customers from the same date.
The under-secretary said the arrangement will help distribute customers and requests across the centres and speed up transactions.
He added that the recently launched virtual customer service centre enables customers to complete a large proportion of transactions and make enquiries without visiting a centre in person.
He said the measures support the ministry’s efforts to develop a more flexible and efficient municipal service system integrating in person and digital service channels.
