VOLLEYBALL – South Korean Ambassador to Bahrain Choi Byung-sun, Bahraini Embassy in Seoul charge d’affaires ad interim Ahmed Abdulwahab Mubarak Abdulla, and Korea Volleyball Association (KVA) president Oh Han-nam, who served as head coach of Bahrain’s senior men’s volleyball national team in the 1990s, performed the ceremonial opening serve yesterday in Bahrain’s international friendly match with their South Korean counterparts, played in Seoul.
The game marked the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations, and it was jointly organised by the South Korean Embassy in Bahrain, the Bahraini Embassy in Seoul, the Bahrain Volleyball Association and KVA, and the Korean Community Association in Bahrain.
The occasion provided a meaningful moment for the South Korean people to convey their sincere solidarity and support for the leadership and citizens of Bahrain, as they stand united to navigate recent conflicts in the Gulf region.
