The reward for returning the lost dog of an Abu Dhabi couple has been raised from AED15,000 to AED30,000 (approx BD1,540 to BD3,080).
A Dubai-based businesswoman, hearing of the couple's desperate search for 'Jiku', added AED15,000 of her own money to the reward.
Dog owner Priyanka Tamang told Gulf News she hopes the larger reward will lead to her beloved Maltese coming home.
Tamang had initially offered an AED5,000 (approx BD513) reward when Jiku went missing on July 3, two days after she and her fiancé moved house within Al Mushrif.
Dubai-based Gulf Invest Real Estate later stepped in to help raise the reward to AED15,000.
The closest lead in the search came on August 5 when Jiku was spotted near Tamang's old home. No confirmed sightings have been reported since.
The couple has asked anyone with information, even if uncertain whether the dog they saw was Jiku, to contact Priyanka Tamang on +971 56 298 0817 or +971 55 610 5319.
