The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) has wrapped up the fifth edition of its flagship ‘EVOLVE’ summer internship programme, reinforcing its commitment to nurturing young local talent for the financial services sector.
Delivered across dedicated school and university phases, this year’s initiative welcomed students from 23 schools and 14 universities, alongside youth supported by the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Programme, AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, and INJAZ Bahrain.
Participants completed classroom modules, practical assignments, and on-the-job training across NBB’s operational divisions. Beyond core banking, the curriculum covered future-focussed disciplines including AI, fintech, cybersecurity, entrepreneurship, sovereign wealth funds, sign language, and first aid.
Training was conducted in partnership with leading institutions and entities, including Mumtalakat, the National Cyber Security Centre, Bahrain Fintech Bay, BIBF, Marsh, Emeritus, Mada Translation, Bahrain Paramedic Academy, and INJAZ Bahrain.
“This has been a strong year for EVOLVE, and its continued progress gives us a solid foundation to build on,” said NBB Group chief human resources officer Hend Mahmood. “Each edition challenges us to raise the standard of the experience we provide and remain responsive to the capabilities young people will need in the years ahead.”
By blending workplace immersion with expert-led training, NBB continues to enhance career readiness and strengthen Bahrain’s future workforce pipeline in line with the kingdom’s long-term economic goals.
