Bahrain have opened their medal account in the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan with mixed martial arts (MMA) star Diana Pogosian winning silver in the women’s modern MMA under-54kg category.
Pogosian secured her medal after going down fighting against Kanjutha Phattaraboonsorn of Thailand.
Her runner-up finish is also Bahrain’s first-ever medal in MMA at the quadrennial Asiad.
