An exhibition aimed to support productive Bahraini families was inaugurated yesterday by Social Development Ministry Under-Secretary Zeyad Darwish.
Organised by the ministry in co-operation with the Bahrain Small and Medium Enterprises Society and Dragon City, the ‘Bahraini Hands’ is part of efforts to expand market access for these families’ products.
Mr Darwish affirmed the ministry’s commitment to further developing programmes and initiatives supporting productive families, enhancing their ability to develop their businesses and turn them into more sustainable economic opportunities.
He noted that providing diverse marketing channels is important in helping these businesses expand their customer base and enhance their ability to compete and remain in the local market.
The under-secretary also highlighted the ministry’s commitment to enhancing partnerships with various entities and institutions and expanding co-operation to provide productive families with further opportunities to develop their businesses and market their products, while encouraging Bahraini home-based initiatives and businesses.
The exhibition reflects co-operation and integration between the public and private sectors and civil society institutions by bringing together efforts and providing a marketing platform for productive families.
It runs until Friday at Dragon City, Gate 12, and is open daily from 10am to 10pm.
