Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa has affirmed that the security and sovereignty of the kingdom are fundamental principles that cannot be compromised.
He expressed appreciation and pride following the commendation by His Majesty King Hamad, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, for the efforts of the Bahrain Defence Force, the National Guard, the Interior Ministry, and military, security and civilian agencies in maintaining vigilance and a high level of readiness in responding to various developments.
The King’s commendation provides strong motivation for security personnel to continue making every effort to safeguard the nation’s security and enhance its stability, the Interior Minister said.
Gen Shaikh Rashid praised the King’s directives and unwavering support for the Interior Ministry, noting that the royal vision provides further strength and determination to continue fulfilling its duties, with the support, directives and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister.
The Interior Ministry operates with the highest levels of readiness and discipline and continues to develop its capabilities and enhance its efficiency, ensuring that security and stability remain fundamental to Bahrain’s strength and its ability to overcome challenges with confidence and competence, he noted.
“His Majesty’s remarks on safeguarding national unity and security reflect a principle deeply rooted among Bahrainis: that national unity is not dictated by circumstances, but is an enduring commitment and a fundamental source of the nation’s strength and resilience. It is also an intrinsic national value rooted in the principles of the state and the collective consciousness of the people of Bahrain.
“Security responsibility is inseparable from national responsibility, and protecting Bahrain begins with safeguarding its people and society, as well as national assets. Bahrain’s Police continue to fulfil their national duty with a high level of readiness while safeguarding national unity and reinforcing the cohesion of Bahraini society.
“The performance of this duty is based on an established security approach that combines firmness in addressing violations with full adherence to legal and professional responsibilities,” Gen Shaikh Rashid said.
The Interior Minister added that the national interest takes precedence over all other considerations and that reinforcing the nation’s cohesion is a shared responsibility of state institutions and all members of society.
“This strengthens the home front, preserves the national fabric and ensures that national solidarity remains a strong safeguard against challenges, regardless of their scale or form.
“The people of Bahrain, with their longstanding loyalty, strong sense of belonging and national spirit, will remain united behind the leadership of the King, steadfast in their loyalty and commitment to the unity of their nation and the cohesion of its society.
“This reflects a national conviction that Bahrain draws its strength from its unity and its resilience from its cohesion, enabling it to move forward regardless of the challenges it faces.”
“Bahrain will remain a nation of security and stability, maintaining its distinguished standing and moving forward with confidence towards a future worthy of its longstanding history, rich heritage and achievements across generations,” the Interior Minister affirmed.
