An Indian woman died on Sunday after an air ambulance door opened mid-flight due to a technical fault.
The aircraft was transporting the patient from Agartala to Kolkata when it was forced to make an emergency landing in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
All seven people on board survived the forced landing without physical injuries from the cabin decompression.
However, the patient, identified as 56-year-old Anjana Bhowmik, was declared dead after being taken to a local hospital.
It remains unclear whether she died of pre-existing medical complications or as a direct result of the aircraft's technical malfunction.
A full investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
