The Billie Jean King Cup is a leading international competition between national teams in women’s tennis. It is held annually with tournaments at various levels in zones all over the world.
Asia/Oceania Group III has been split this season into two events, with two pools in each. Each zone will feature a single round-robin.
Zone B’s official technical meeting and the draw to divide the teams into the two pools will be held today.
On Saturday, the teams finishing top of each pool will then face off in a promotional play-off against the corresponding pool winner within their event to determine who advances to Asia/Oceania Group II in 2027, while no nations will be relegated.
Bahrain’s women finished sixth in last year’s Group III Asia/Oceania Zone B tournament played in Vietnam, while the kingdom hosted the same event the previous two years.
