Manama: Bapco said it yesterday achieved 12 million hours without a single lost time injury.
The company said this was the second time it had reached the safety milestone in its history, which
represents a total of 428 days of operation with no injuries requiring a Bapco or contractor employee to miss a working day.
The last time Bapco had a lost time injury was
in May.
The company’s management has congratulated all involved for following Bapco’s environmental, health and safety values and applauded them for
their contribution to the achievement of such a significant milestone, which is in line with Bapco’s goal of incident and injury free workplace.
A statement said a special gathering to mark this achievement will be held at the refinery cafeteria today with attendance from the chairman, executive management, employees and
contractors.
