A RIFFA massage parlour where gay masseurs charged BD5 for giving oral sex has been ordered to close.
Two Thai men who worked in the massage parlour have also been jailed for six months each.
Police raided the salon following an undercover sting operation, during which plainclothes officers posed as customers and were offered sexual favours in January.
“An undercover officer posed as a customer and went to get a 45-minute massage for BD10,” a police officer told prosecutors.
“The masseur then held his private parts and told him to give him an extra BD5 in return for oral sex.
“The officer immediately arrested him.
“Another plainclothes officer held one of the defendants in custody when the latter tried to kiss him and touch his private parts.”
The two Thai masseurs will be deported after completing their sentences, which were handed down by the Lower Criminal Court yesterday.
One of them admitted to providing sexual favours to customers on a daily basis for six months.
“I arrived in Bahrain six months ago and I worked in a massage parlour in Riffa,” the 39-year-old said in his statement to prosecutors.
“I performed oral sex for BD5 for too many customers. I also touched their private parts as part of the service.
“I get 25 per cent of the profits from the owner, in addition to the money I get from customers.
“I was getting a lot of money from this due to the amount of customers.”
A third suspect, a Thai cleaner, was cleared of wrongdoing by the same court due to lack of evidence.
