TERRORISTS have carried out attacks, including fatal ones, and acts of vandalism for as low as BD50, it was revealed.
This was highlighted by Interior Minister Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, who was speaking yesterday during an open meeting at the Officers Club in Gudaibiya.
“For only BD50 given as awards to terrorists to murder people and sabotage facilities, yes for such a cheap amount, they spill blood and destroy infrastructure and property, and put everyone at risk,” said Shaikh Rashid.
“The money, which was kept at dead drops for terrorists, was for their role whether in transportation, plotting, storage and even carrying out the actual crime.
“Is this reward worth destroying the country or taking lives?”
The meeting was attended by elected and appointed legislators and municipal officials, clergymen, senior government officials, ma’atams and civil societies.
