A PRE-LAUNCH event was held for a new British-curriculum school in Bahrain.
King’s College-School of Bahrain is expected to be completed by the second half of this year and will have a student capacity of around 1,500 to 2,000 from kindergarten to year 13.
It is being developed as a collaborative effort between Bin Faqeeh Education and UK-based education company King’s Group.
Details of the school were revealed at the pre-launch event, which was held at the Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea and Spa, and attended by King’s Group chairman Sir Roger Fry.
“It’s great to see that our vision is generating interest in all parts of the world and we are delighted to offer our 50-year-long expertise here in the Kingdom of Bahrain,” said Sir Roger during his keynote speech.
“Our main goals as an educational institution are to provide students with a rigorous and comprehensive British education and to live the group’s vision of being at the forefront of British education internationally.”
Bin Faqeeh Education chairman Faisal Faqeeh, meanwhile, praised the high quality of education that will be provided at the school.
“Coupled with state-of-the-art premises and strategic location, the school aims to nurture a highly skilled and self-motivated generation who will be able to contribute to the growth of our country in the future,” he said.
“With the school’s construction nearing completion, we are really excited to see the results of this strategic partnership.”
The school will be the 10th facility to operate under the King’s Group brand which is spread across Europe and Central America.
