MANAMA: Jewellery, luxury watches, gems and accessories worth $1 billion will go on sale at the Middle East’s largest and most prestigious exhibition in Bahrain today.
Thousands of visitors are expected to attend the 27th edition of Jewellery Arabia, which will continue at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Sanabis, until Saturday.
The five-day annual event is held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
It will be open from 4pm to 10pm daily until Friday, as well as 12pm to 10pm on Saturday. More than 550 exhibitors will feature products, collections and limited-edition pieces at the exhibition.
Meanwhile, government experts will also be on hand to inspect goods purchased by customers to ensure they are not duped by traders. Companies from as far afield as Hong Kong, India, Lebanon, Russia, Singapore and Thailand are taking part.
