Jellystone, owned by Al Mohamediya Racing, clinched the Al Salam Bank Cup in yesterday’s seventh race at the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club.
Jellystone, trained by Hussain Aldailami and ridden by Hasan Al Safar, won the 2,000 metre race to pocket a prize money of BD4,000.
The race was held for imported horses three years old and above.
Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club executive director Shaikh Salman bin Rashid Al Khalifa presented the Club’s trophies.
Head of private banking at Al Salam Bank Ali Habib Qassim presented the bank’s trophies.
In second spot was Across The Stars, owned by Ramadhan Stable, trained by Jaber Ramadhan and ridden by Abdulla Faisal, while Return of the Mac, owned by Al Mohamediya Racing, trained by Osama Hashim and ridden by George Wood, finished third.
The sixth race of the day was won by Al Hassanain Syndicate’s Zymyran.
The winner of the 1,600m race for imported horses three years old and upwards was trained by Ali Jan and ridden by Gerald Mosse.
It finished ahead of Al Mohamediya Racing’s Hessa and Wiretap, owned by Victorious, who were second and third respectively.
Sabreena, owned by Fawzi Nass and ridden by Husain Makki, won the fifth race of the day for the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club cup. It claimed a prize money of BD3,000.
Al Afoo Racing Stable’s Ramani emerged second while Dirab owned by Shaikh Hamad bin Abdulla Al Khalifa won the third place.
