Chip reader on fuel lids can cut waiting times
This is what I like the most here, that you don’t need to go out of your car to get petrol.
@chachlarage
Can you install AC/cooler with lamppost please; it’s too hot.
@sara_cookie96
Just start accepting American Express as a form of payment. It’s not that hard.
@nawalmustafa_
No, not at all a good idea. Let these jobs be done by people who are doing it, don’t snatch the bread from their families. Not good. First of all, this system might be very expensive and to manage them regularly might cost more than what these poor workers are earning. Please, this is my request to the higher authorities not to implement this as it will cause hunger for poor workers.
@faisalarfan03
Just fill your own car and pay at pump.
@smontgo79
It’s better if the workers do it, so no one can cheat the system with technology.
@hf1manutd
All this because no one wants to go out of their own car and fill the tank themselves.
@zzpoltergeist
Welcome to automation. GCC is the only region where they have people to fill the petrol for you.
@relaxingwave
Why not? This is good technology implemented since 2018 in various countries; well-known and useful.
@alexandrekatrangi
It’s better to have pay at the pump and get rid of the pump attendant.

In your opinion, what is the minimum amount of money required each month to meet the basic needs of a family living in Bahrain?
In reality, utilities can cost about BD53 per month on an average for one person in a studio apartment. You can also expect to pay BD10 per month for Internet. So if you happen to be living on your own in Bahrain, you would need a minimum of BD410 per month for accommodation alone, more if you have family.
Roxanne Soriano
BD900 minimum. My dad earns BD800+ per month and at the end of the month we face some shortages because all the money is spent on bills and fees. Everything just keeps increasing, whereas income is constant, yet we are lucky to be living here. There are people who struggle, living in much more terrible conditions, and are being overlooked. I am sure the government is doing its best, but still, the income should be increased so that at least people are able to tackle these ‘high cost’ situations.
Aisha Muhammed
A family of four needs around BD400 to cover rent (normal flat) + fee + other expenses but if they get more salary they will spend more money. So the market logic is “give more and spend more”.
Ansar Kallara
Bahrain is a very good, peaceful and religious country which is having a reasonable cost of living for both residents and citizens.
Richi Rich
As an expatriate the living cost for a family of four is around BD550 to BD600 including all house rent + education of child + self expenses. The minimum salary for skilled employees should be BD1,500 so they can live happy inside Bahrain and can think about saving for the future.
Gagan Panda
The rise in the cost of living versus salary in Bahrain is horrible. It needs proper study. BD500-800 is needed if one has a family.
Omar Al Mohammed
Minimum BD500 is an ideal claim. If people think and control their unnecessary habits, then accordingly, this amount is enough so that they can survive nicely. If people continue with their unnecessary habits, then they will claim for a raised amount every year!
Masum Mozumder
In my opinion a budget of BD500-BD600 is needed for a family. Budgeting depends on the family’s lifestyle, salary source, cost of living and habits.
Be sure to adjust and plan your budget each month as things change. When you do not have a plan or list you are going to be stressed. No one wants that!
Start with the most important expenses first.
Food is top priority, shelter and utilities, basic clothing, transportation and healthcare.
If you have a credit card debt it needs to be a second priority.
Also, cut out unnecessary habits and dine out less, shop at discount clothing and grocery stores. You can always adjust later down the road.
You also need a small amount of money set aside for any unexpected expenses throughout the month.
