An expatriate resident has been arrested for practising medicine without a licence, the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) revealed.
He was caught red-handed in a sting operation providing cosmetic services at a private house in Juffair, including botox and filler injections.
NHRA chief executive Dr Mariam Al Jalahma said violations included practising medicine and pharmacology, establishing a pharmaceutical centre and providing health services and running a medical facility without a license.
Authority’s judicial officers conducted the necessary investigations in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science and set up a sting operation, which led to his arrest, said Dr Al Jalahma.
All pharmaceutical tools and medical equipment in addition to botox and filler bottles were seized, she added.
