MANAMA: Saudi Arabia has been praised for a successful Haj season despite the exceptional circumstances forced by the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
His Majesty King Hamad sent a cable of congratulations to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the successful organisation of the pilgrimage.
He commended tremendous efforts by King Salman and his government to hold the Haj while also implementing adequate precautionary measures to ensure the highest levels of safety and health for pilgrims.
The King expressed best wishes to the pilgrims, wishing King Salman abundant health, happiness and a long life.
He also wished the Arab and Islamic nations many happy returns and Saudi Arabia further security and prosperity under its leadership.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince Prime Minister, also commended Saudi Arabia’s tremendous efforts, led by King Salman, Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Defence Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the government, to hold the pilgrimage while implementing adequate precautionary measures to ensure the highest levels of safety and health for pilgrims.
He wished the pilgrims, Saudi Arabia and its citizens many happy returns of the occasion, as well as further progress and prosperity, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
HRH Prince Salman sent similar cables to the Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Defence Minister, and adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Mecca and head of the Central Haj Committee Prince Khalid Al Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
