Tattoos warning

If you make it legal, people won’t have to smuggle it, and you can have finer control over it.

I agree. Legalise it and avoid the risk all together. Clearly a large number of residents want to get tattoos and will continue to get tattoos from an illegal source.

Plus it’s a great business expansion idea. Since foreigners often get tattoos when they visit countries.

Currently there is no legal tattoo artist or parlour in Bahrain? Everywhere you look people are doing cosmetic procedures after just doing a few days’ course, but tattoo artists who have years of experience aren’t given a licence here? That’s nonsensical.

Legalise it so you can regulate it! Other cosmetic ‘aesthetic’ procedures are allowed that one could argue also ‘change and alter God’s natural creation’ like silicone lip fillers, breast augmentation, body contouring, Botox, plastic surgery, nose jobs, etc.

Make it legal then artists won’t have to smuggle anything. Now before coming at me with “haram”, we have nightclubs, alcohol and what not. So this really shouldn’t be a big deal.

It’s not even haram in some Islamic sects.

I agree 100 per cent. It should be legalised already.

Why not have clean legal places then? Alcohol is legal but tattoos are illegal? Doesn’t make the slightest sense.

The tattoo should be banned (no more) in Bahrain.

Everyone must follow the country’s rules and regulations. Which mostly no one is following. I see a lot of illegal businesses operating from homes. Government should tighten the controls on these people.
