A KINDERGARTEN in Muharraq has been shut down due to multiple violations.
Breaches at Al Thuraya kindergarten included failure to renew its licence, relocating its headquarters without the ministry’s approval and failure to take precautionary measures to ensure the safety of the children.
“The kindergarten cannot reopen unless it resolves all the violations and obtains necessary ministry approvals,” said an Education Ministry statement yesterday (Jan 24).
It added that the closure followed an order by Education Minister Dr Majid Al Nuaimi, and that children attending the kindergarten will be relocated to another facility.
