A young Bahraini woman passenger was killed in an horrific accident in the early hours of this morning in Hamad Town.
The car she was travelling in was in collision with a bus that had pulled over to allow labourers to disembark, according to eye witnesses.
Police and fire officers attended the scene at 3am. The driver of the car, a Bahraini man, suffered serious injuries.
The occupants of the car were cut out of the vehicle and taken to hospital by ambulance, where the woman was later declared dead.
No further details have been released by the authorities.
