MANAMA: The untapped investment and partnership opportunities for Bahraini and Tajikistani business owners have been underlined by Bahrain Chamber chairman Sameer Nass, particularly as both countries accelerate their economic development process in the post-pandemic era by launching major projects, reforms, and offering incentives to investors.
This came as he received at his office the Abu Dhabi-based Ambassador of Tajikistan Bahodur Sharifi, in the presence of the chamber’s acting chief executive Dr Abdulla Al Sada.
Mr Nass touched upon the humble trade volume between both friendly countries, while naming the energy, agriculture, and industry sectors as promising areas of co-operation.
He affirmed the readiness of the Bahrain chamber to consolidate efforts with its counterpart in Tajikistan and the embassy in a bid to streamline trade, stimulate investments, and encourage partnerships.
For his part, Mr Sharifi hailed the growing friendly relations Bahrain and Tajikistan.
He stated that his country is focused on enhancing the contribution of the industrial sector to the gross domestic product (GDP), adding that other key sectors in Tajikistan include clean energy, agriculture, and mining.
The diplomat also spoke about his country’s economic reforms and incentives to foreign investors, calling on Bahraini business owners to explore investment and partnership opportunities in Tajikistan.
Mr Sharifi also voiced keenness on holding joint business functions to connect business owners from both sides and stimulate business co-operation.
