The Saudi Ministry of Interior has launched the 'Absher Travel for Visitors' service to digitise entry procedures at all land border crossings.
The new service is available via the Absher app for Gulf Cooperation Council nationals and other visitors arriving in the Kingdom.
The service allows travellers to submit personal details, vehicle information, and insurance requirements digitally before arriving at the border.
Registration through the service will become mandatory for all visitors six months after its launch.
To use the service, visitors must select their nationality in the Absher app, enter their details, and specify their expected date of travel and border crossing.
The initiative was launched in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Saudi Data and AI Authority, and several related border authorities.
The Ministry of Interior stated that the service aims to streamline entry procedures and improve the overall travel experience for visitors entering the Kingdom by land.
