The Marvel movie 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' will not be shown in Bahrain, a spokesperson from Bahrain Cinema Company (Cineco) has confirmed to the GDN.
The latest Marvel Cinematic Universe instalment is the sequel to the 2016 Doctor Strange movie and the second Marvel flick in the last year to not be shown in the GCC.
Pre-sales for the movie have also been stopped in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar.
According to well-placed sources within the industry, the ban comes after the movie's distribution company and local authorities were unable to agree on the version of the movie that would be screened locally.
