FANS and followers of Sadhguru flocked to Bahrain Fort yesterday to greet the environmentalist who is in Manama as part of his Save Soil campaign.
He held a meeting with Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities Culture and Arts Director General Shaikha Hala bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, alongside Supreme Council for Environment chief executive Dr Mohammed bin Daina and Indian Ambassador Piyush Srivastava in the Qa’alat Al Bahrain Fort.
Subsequently he addressed invited audience at the Indian Embassy in an interactive session.
“We have to act together to save the soil, it is a timely call,” said Labour and Social Development Ministry’s Assistant Labour Affairs Under-Secretary Ahmed Al Haki, who attended the talk.
“Today I’m very pleased to be here to listen to Sadhguru and about his mission – we have to act now to work together to save the soil in order to provide food for everyone.”
First deputy chairman of Bahrain India Society Talal Al Mannai echoed similar sentiments, citing Sadhguru’s speech as ‘inspirational’.
“It is a very important message, in line with His Majesty’s vision for Bahrain – the food security that we are talking about is related to soil.
“I think it’s important to keep the soil in mind when we strategise our agriculture and food security plans.”
After the meeting Sadhguru visited the Alhawaj Gardens.
