Deputy Premier and Infrastructure Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa received Bahrain Airport Company (BAC)’s chairman Kamal Ahmed.
The meeting came on the occasion of choosing Bahrain International Airport (BIA) as the best new airport in the world as part of the Skytrax World Aviation Awards ceremony, which was held in Paris.
Shaikh Khalid congratulated Kamal on this occasion and the deserved global recognition, expressing appreciation for his sincere efforts during his tenure as Transportation and Telecommunications Minister and for his keenness to develop these two vital sectors.
The Deputy Premier affirmed that the prestigious international award is a testament to the creativity and innovation that characterise Bahrainis and their constant determination to excel.
