Several areas yesterday faced massive traffic congestion as school buses parked up and parents scrambled to pick up their children in their cars.
Community police were also on standby to assist students and traffic patrols did their best to keep the traffic flowing.
More than 147,000 pupils – 73,932 girls and 73,068 boys – from 210 schools were yesterday welcomed by teachers and administrators fully after two years of Covid-19 pandemic restrictions which limited time in the classrooms.
