The 22nd Sharjah International Narrator Forum (SINF) will be launched on Wednesday under the theme "Tales of the Seas" with several topics about the seas to be presented through stories and novels.
Around 160 people from 44 countries are expected to participate in the three-day forum.
Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage Dr Abdulaziz Al Musallam earlier this month said that 40 publications dealing with in-depth stories on the Gulf, Arab and international seas would be presented.
The forum will receive the family of the late Kuwaiti poet Mohammed Al Fayez who will have his valuable memoirs, "Diwan of Bahar" presented in a dedicated exhibition.
The guest of honour is artist and composer Ibrahim Jumaa Al Hajj Al Madani, the owner of heritage marine melodies.
The forum will host actors from the movie "Bas Ya Bahr" from Kuwait, including Saad Al Faraj, Hayat Al Fahad, Mohammed Al Mansour, and several artists, narrators and storytellers.
