The Indian Embassy in Bahrain has issued an advisory for all its citizens planning to visit the kingdom.
In a statement, the embassy, citing guidelines from the kingdom's Interior Ministry and Bahrain Airports Company (BAC), requested all travellers to carry the following documents:
1. Valid hotel confirmation or address proof (electricity bill/rental agreement) of the sponsor with a covering letter and CPR reader copy.
2. Return air ticket, with a valid ticket number at the time of immigration in Bahrain.
3. E-visa holders must have proof of funds (a valid credit card or approximately BD50 per day for everyday of stay or US $1000; according to different carriers).
Concerned Indian passengers have been urged to contact their respective carriers regarding the required documents before travel.
