Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Civil Defence has urged citizens and residents to exercise caution as thunderstorm forecasts across several regions raise the risk of flash floods.
Those in the Mecca region, including Taif, Maysan, Adham and Al Ardiyat, were advised to avoid swimming in floodwaters and strictly adhere to safety instructions, with heavy rain expected to bring strong downdrafts, hail and blowing dust.
Severe weather alerts have also been issued for Jazan, Asir and Al Baha, where moderate to heavy rainfall is expected to trigger flood risks.
