A university student in Bristol, UK, started a GoFundMe campaign to raise £10,000 so that he could have all of his teeth put back.
Aleksandar Stoilov, 35, started losing his teeth five years ago, with the last one snapping off as well, leaving tiny stumps where his teeth used to be.
Doctor's seem to think that the cause of his condition is an antibiotic given to babies in his home country of Bulgaria; they have ruled out osteoporosis.
Due to his condition, Mr Stoilov has been unable to eat any solid foods at all, and often has to blitz food in a blender.
“My teeth break even with the softest food I eat,” Aleksander said, adding that even soft bread can cause his teeth to snap off.
“I can’t chew at all. I’m surviving on mashed potatoes and the other day my wife blitzed up some chicken from KFC in the blender,” he explained.
The £10,000 is for implants for all his teeth and for a jawbone reconstruction, in areas that have suffered more damage.
He is planning to go back to Bulgaria for the procedure, as the cost in the UK is too high.
