BRITISH actor Clive Standen, famous for his role as Rollo in the popular series Vikings, has been confirmed as the fourth top TV celebrity for the upcoming Bahrain Comic Con (BCC) 2022.
The 41-year-old actor has also appeared as Sir Gawain in Camelot, Archer in the BBC One series Robin Hood and Private Carl Harris in the popular science-fiction series Doctor Who.
“Hey Bahrain, I can’t wait to get out there on the 28th and 29th of October, and meet you all,” he said, in a video posted on social media.
“Be there and meet me, and a bunch of other guests from TV and films. See you soon!”
The third edition of the BCC is being held under the patronage of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and is expected to draw more than 25,000 attendees, according to organisers Dallah Promotions.
At the BCC, Mr Standen joins Paul Anderson who plays Arthur Shelby in the popular show Peaky Blinders, Mason Dye appearing as Jason Carver in Stranger Things, Leilani Shiu - Teeka in the Star Wars TV show Obi-Wan Kenobi - and David Angelo Roman, the artist of cult classic comic book Rick and Morty.
The GDN is the media partner for the BCC and will be sharing news and interviews leading up to the event.
The BCC was last held in the kingdom in 2019, and featured guests including David Harbour, Alison Sudol and Pom Klementieff.
This year will see the popular convention return for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic forced its cancellation in 2020.
As in previous years, the convention will also feature the Artist Alley, cosplay competitions as well as local vendors highlighted in front of a global audience.
International exhibitors including Hollywood movie studios and video game companies will also be taking part.
