Destination Bahrain ‘needs
new tourism strategy’
Take Thailand as an example: free beaches, developed public transport, affordable day trips, cycling lines and souvenir shops in each hotel.
@olgafollower74
Very true, we need more ideas and development to make it happen, more activities like helicopter tours etc.

I thought a new Botanical Garden was going to fix that?
@sirshannoncrockett
New investment strategy and how to retain long-term residents.
@hirolibhartiya
Try to build attractive buildings – I mean bigger.

Bahrain has the potential to be a fantastic tourist attraction.
It is an Island.
1: Give more priority to island activities, and make them affordable and accessible to everyone. Many beach activities in Bahrain are restricted to hotel guests. That’s not a good idea for attracting tourists.
2: The country could also look into a Digital nomad culture (like other island nations in South-East Asia). They attract tourists who work just with a laptop and the Internet. The main focus being Wi-Fi, backpacker hostels, beach activities, food and picturesque views.

We need good public transport first.
@wakeuppsam
Unfortunately Bahrain has been relying on the Saudi tourists for so long and we all know why they come here. Bahrain has the potential to be the best tourist destination in the region and even in the world. There is not much effort, neither motivation, to come up with a new strategy that welcomes tourists from all over the world.
@relaxingwave
Bahrain needs tourist spots not always buildings.
@thonzen_13th
It was known as the island of 1,000,000 palm trees, and now, for 1,000,000 vehicles and where new roads and flyovers pop up rather than offer the chance to discover this small and flat island by walking or cycling.

At this point it’s no ‘fishing vessel’ it’s a whole gunboat!
