SHURA Council chairman Ali Al Saleh yesterday asked members to stop addressing him as “His Excellency The Chairman”.
“I don’t like the formal approach; we are a family of legislators,” he said.
“Respect is given with or without protocol or formalities,” he added.
“So from now on I am Brother Chairman and you are Brother or Sister members.”
His remarks came after Ali Al Aradi referred to Mr Al Saleh as “His Excellency The Chairman” during a comment.
